Hi, I'm Mary Savocchia! I am currently a senior at Kent State University pursuing a BFA in Musical Theatre alongside a BA in Dance Studies. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, I have been surrounded by incredible theatre, dance, and art my entire life. (And, of course, I feel compelled to call myself a Steelers fan despite my complete lack of interest in sports.) I've been dancing for as long as I can remember, and began pursuing musical theatre seriously in high school, after portraying the role of Bird Girl #4 in the incredibly underground, alternative, subversive show: Seussical The Musical. When I'm not performing, I LOVE to go thrift shopping, spend time at coffee shops, cross-stitch, and collect CD's from my favorite artists. If you're willing to listen, I will always be there to talk about Amy Winehouse's genius, catch up on the latest Trixie and Katya podcast, defend Tobey Maguire's Spiderman, and explain why the 1995 Pride and Prejudice is forever the superior version!

Professionally, Mary is a vibrant, energetic, and funny 21 year old caucasian woman. A fantastic dancer with a superb technical background, she brings a grounded sensuality and tenacity to her movement. Her beautiful belt and high power mix ranges from an F3 to a C6, and can be molded to fit a multitude of genres from golden age to pop rock. Mary has a tremendous work ethic and a quick mind that makes her a wonderful solution for covering a lead while in the dance ensemble, and being a swing.
